Regarded as one of the most popular trekking destination, Kanchenjunga region trekking was opened in 1988 for the trekking purpose. With its trails being overlapped with views of mountain peaks covering the panoramic view of the Himalayas, it is one of the best places to trek, and well especially during the autumn and spring season. Besides the serene beauty that it provides, the region is also an excellent gateway for getting to know the villagers their customs and traditions along with their lifestyle in a much better way. Besides this, this region is full of natural vegetation which adds color to the surrounding with flowers like Rhododendron especially in the spring season. Thus, like some other trekking routes, spring and autumn are the best season to trek in this route as well. Here, you can go for solo travelling as well as with a group where a maximum of 12 members are recommended. For accommodation, you can find good teahouses here. With maximum elevation ranging up to 5160 meters (1692 ft.) it is moderate and sometimes a little difficult to trek where you will take around 26 days for trekking in average. Besides this, as this region is located in a tough terrain, we recommend you to have warm waterproof clothing, sturdy boots along with sleeping bag and a cap for better trekking.
