A country in South Asia is the land of Himalayas, the Gurkhas and most importantly a home to around 29 million people, 900 bird species, 400 species of plants and 38 protected wildlife species. This is the land of various cultures, ethnic groups, language, etc. Onto this note, the country has been listed to have the most cultural heritage sites by UNESCO and has 8 of the world’s highest peaks in the world including the highest peak Mt. Everest. Thus, marking the nation to be one of the best trekking destinations in the world. It is one of the paradises for adventure junkies as well; as you can go for different types of adventure sports like mountain biking, wall climbing, paragliding, bungee jumping, canoeing, etc. While talking about its uniqueness, you can find the only place where there is practice of worshipping a girl from the Newar community as a form of living goddess known as “Kumari”. Besides this, Nepal is also considered to be one of the countries where you can see religious tolerance to a high level. The country is also a major tourist place for religious as Buddhism was wide spread and moreover Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha) was born in Lumbini which falls in the territory of Nepal. And the country further has some ancient and sacred Hindu temples and to which the worshipers, especially from India come to visit for the religious purpose. Besides this tourists also come for educational purpose, research works regardin birds and animals, ethnic groups of Nepal, nomadic tribes of Nepal,etc. Whereas for the general tourist, there are ample of places to visit. Some of them include the Durbar Squares, National Parks, Wildlife reserves, the city of Kathmandu and Pokhara, Lumbini and for trekking there are many places where you can trek. 



Annapurna Region

In this trek, you have two trekking options; one- The Annapurna Circuit Trek and the other Annapurna Base Camp Trek. In regard to the Annapurna Region Trek, we discuss about the Annapurna Circuit Trek. This circuit trek is one of the classic trekking destinations known after the Everest. So, as to this is region, it is more popular and travelled places. The trek on average takes around 15-20 days with an approximate length covering 160-230 km. 

Everest Region

Also known as the Khumbhu region trek, this trek is one of the most well-known trekking routes of all time. Your journey for this trek begins from Lukla passing all the way to the Everest region. However, you can go from Jiri instead of flying to Lukla directly itself as well. As to this, you can get to travel more places including Namche Bazaar where these two places will further make your trek a memorable one, though this route is for the laid back people who have enough time and are willing to trek more.

Manaslu Region

Also known as Kutang, Manaslu is the eight highest mountain in the world. With the height of 8,156 meter, it is located in the Mansiri Himalayan range of Lamjung district. The Manaslu Circuit Trek starts from Arughat Bazaar and ends in Besisahar; the starting point of Annapurna Circuit Trek. Meanwhile during the journey, you pass through Buddhist monasteries, Himalayan ranges, passes, river basins, etc.

Langtang Region

With the highest altitude of 5,000 meters, Langtang region is situated towards the north bodering Tibet. The trails pass along through Langtang National Park which is a home to any flora and fauna. The major natives of this region are Himalayan bears, Himalayan deer, Himalayan Pheasants, Yak, Red Pandas, etc. Besides this, the region is full of diverse ethnic group of people while you can see many Gompas and Stupas along your way.

Upper Mustang Region

With spectacular views of the mountain ranges, Mustang trek compromise of deserted and pastured land. This therefore is also known as one of the most untouched mountains due to the reason that its beauty never fades away. The region is furthermore unique in its own culture as they not only have pastured fields for grazing animals and for different crops but they also have huge statues of deities where they have helped in conserving their tradition and culture.

Kangchenjunga Region

Regarded as one of the most popular trekking destination, Kanchenjunga region trekking was opened in 1988 for the trekking purpose. With its trails being overlapped with views of mountain peaks covering the panoramic view of the Himalayas, it is one of the best places to trek, and well especially during the autumn and spring season.

Dolpo Region Trek

Situated in the northwest of Dhaulagiri and kali Gandaki gorge This region is one of the highest inhabited places in Nepal in the highlands. Around 90% of the region thus lies above 3500 meters. Full of agricultural fields, lakes, Gompas and the amazing view of the mountain ranges, Phoksundo Lake is one of the major attractions of this region

Dhaulagiri Region

With maximum elevation of 5360 meters, Dhaulagiri Trek starts from Beni all the way along MyagdiKhola, the local settlements (especially the Gurung communities settle in the region), terraced fields up till the Dhaulagiri Massif itself. Then the trek further continues towards the Chon Barden gorge which is near Dhaulagiri Base Camp and from where you will divert your journey towards the French Pass from where you enter a valley known as the Concealed Valley.

Makalu Region

 Located at Eastern part of Nepal, its elevation ranges from 850 meters (2,788 ft.) to 5,000 meters (16,900 ft.)above the sea level in height, the trek starts from Arun valley leading all the way up to Barun Glacier w1here you pass along the dense forest full of floras where you can see plants like rhododendron, fir, etc. Furthermore, the Arun Valley is a home to the different rare species of birds.
